मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततः पिता यथावृत्तं स्वराज्यच्यावनादिकम् ।
तस्याचष्टे महाबहुः पुत्रस्य जगतीपतिः ॥५१॥

tataḥ pitā yathāvṛttaṃ svarājyacyāvanādikam .
tasyācaṣṭe mahābahuḥ putrasya jagatīpatiḥ.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then the mighty-armed king, the lord of the earth, told his son the entire account of what had happened, beginning with his dethronement from his own kingdom.
