मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-74, verse-32

इत्युक्तः कोपरक्ताक्षः स प्राह स्फुरिताधरः ।
नाहं मृगी त्वयेत्युक्तं मृगी मूढे भविष्यसि ॥३२॥
32. ityuktaḥ koparaktākṣaḥ sa prāha sphuritādharaḥ .
nāhaṃ mṛgī tvayetyuktaṃ mṛgī mūḍhe bhaviṣyasi.
32. iti uktaḥ koparaktākṣaḥ saḥ prāha sphuritādharaḥ
na aham mṛgī tvayā iti uktam mṛgī mūḍhe bhaviṣyasi
32. When told this, he, with eyes reddened by anger and trembling lips, said: 'You said, "I am not a doe," (but now) you, foolish woman, shall become a doe!'
