मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-74, verse-37

न भवत्यन्यथा प्रोक्तं मम वाक्यं कदाचन ।
मृगी भविष्यसि मृता वनेऽस्मिन्नेव जन्मनि ॥३७॥
37. na bhavatyanyathā proktaṃ mama vākyaṃ kadācana .
mṛgī bhaviṣyasi mṛtā vane'sminneva janmani.
37. na bhavati anyathā proktam mama vākyam kadācana
mṛgī bhaviṣyasi mṛtā vane asmin eva janmani
37. My word, once spoken, can never be otherwise. Having died, you will become a doe (mṛgī) in this very forest, in this very birth.
