मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-74, verse-29

मया चोक्तं तवाज्ञानादपराधः कृतो मुने ।
प्रसादं कुरु शापं मे न भवान् दातुमर्हति ॥२९॥
29. mayā coktaṃ tavājñānādaparādhaḥ kṛto mune .
prasādaṃ kuru śāpaṃ me na bhavān dātumarhati.
29. mayā ca uktam tava ajñānāt aparādhaḥ kṛtaḥ mune
prasādam kuru śāpam me na bhavān dātum arhati
29. And I said: "O sage (muni), an offense was committed by me out of ignorance. Please grant your grace, for you ought not to give a curse to me."
