ततः स प्राह पुत्रोऽहमृषेर्निर्वृतिचक्षुषः ।
सुतपा नाम मृग्यान्तु साभिलाषो मृगोऽभवम् ॥२७॥

27. tataḥ sa prāha putro'hamṛṣernirvṛticakṣuṣaḥ .

27.
Then he said, "I am Sutapa by name, the son of a sage (ṛṣi) whose vision is tranquility. However, I became a deer, having developed a desire for a female deer (mṛgī)."
