मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
एवमुक्तस्ततः सोऽपि राजा प्राप्य परां मुदम् ।
पुत्रो ममारीञ्जित्वेति पृथिव्यां भविता मनुः ॥४४॥

44. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
evamuktastataḥ so'pi rājā prāpya parāṃ mudam .
putro mamārīñjitveti pṛthivyāṃ bhavitā manuḥ.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Thus addressed, that king obtained supreme joy (thinking): "My son, having conquered enemies, will be a Manu on earth."
