मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-74, verse-12

तेन प्लवेन स ययावूह्यमानो महीतले ।
इतश्चेतश्चान्धकारे आससाद तटन्ततः ॥१२॥
12. tena plavena sa yayāvūhyamāno mahītale .
itaścetaścāndhakāre āsasāda taṭantataḥ.

12. Carried along on the earth's surface by that (deer-like) float, he drifted hither and thither in the darkness until he finally reached a bank.
