दक्षिणापरतो ह्यस्य पूर्वेण च महोदधिः ।
हिमवानुत्तरेणास्य कार्मुकस्य यथा गुणः ॥५९॥

59. dakṣiṇāparato hyasya pūrveṇa ca mahodadhiḥ .

Indeed, to its south-west and to its east, this land (Bhārata) has the great ocean. The Himālaya mountains are to its north, like the string of a bow.
