क्रौष्टुकिरुवाच ।
भगवन् कथितन्त्वेतज्जम्बूद्वीपं समासतः ।
यदेतद्भवता प्रोक्तं कर्म नान्यत्र पुण्यदम् ॥१॥

Krauṣṭuki said, "O Venerable One, you have concisely described this Jambūdvīpa. You also stated that actions (karma) performed here bestow religious merit, but not in any other place."
