अन्योन्यहृर्च्छ्याविष्टा मैथुनायोपचक्रमुः ।
ततः प्रभृति कल्पेऽस्मिन् मिथुनानां हि सम्भवः ॥८॥
ततः प्रभृति कल्पेऽस्मिन् मिथुनानां हि सम्भवः ॥८॥
8. anyonyahṛrcchyāviṣṭā maithunāyopacakramuḥ .
tataḥ prabhṛti kalpe'smin mithunānāṃ hi sambhavaḥ.

Overcome by mutual desire, they initiated sexual union. From that time onwards, in this current age (kalpa), the generation of couples indeed began.
