मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-49, verse-13

सरित्सरः समुद्रांश्च सेवन्ते पर्वतानपि ।
तास्तदा ह्यल्पशीतोष्णा युगे तस्मिंश्चरन्ति वै ॥१३॥
13. saritsaraḥ samudrāṃśca sevante parvatānapi .
tāstadā hyalpaśītoṣṇā yuge tasmiṃścaranti vai.
13. sarit saraḥ samudrān ca sevante parvatān api
tāḥ tadā hi alpaśītoṣṇā yuge tasmin caranti vai
13. They inhabit rivers, lakes, and oceans, and also mountains. At that time, in that era, those beings, experiencing only slight cold and heat, certainly dwelled (there).
