महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-47, verse-30

तेषां वृत्त्यर्थिनां तत्र वसतां हिमवद्वने ।
अनावृष्टिरनुप्राप्ता तदा द्वादशवार्षिकी ॥३०॥
30. teṣāṁ vṛttyarthināṁ tatra vasatāṁ himavadvane ,
anāvṛṣṭiranuprāptā tadā dvādaśavārṣikī.

30. As they (the Sages) resided there in the Himalayan forest, striving for their livelihood, a twelve-year-long drought then afflicted them.
