महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-47, verse-11

इत्युक्तो भगवान्देवः स्मयन्निव निरीक्ष्य ताम् ।
उवाच नियमज्ञां तां सान्त्वयन्निव भारत ॥११॥
11. ityukto bhagavāndevaḥ smayanniva nirīkṣya tām ,
uvāca niyamajñāṁ tāṁ sāntvayanniva bhārata.
11. iti uktaḥ bhagavān devaḥ smayan iva nirīkṣya
tām uvāca niyamajñām tām sāntvayan iva bhārata
11. bhārata iti uktaḥ bhagavān devaḥ smayan iva
tām nirīkṣya tām niyamajñām sāntvayan iva uvāca
11. O Bhārata, having been addressed thus, the revered god, as if smiling, looked at her and spoke to that woman, who understood the sacred observances, as if comforting her.
