महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-28, verse-16

प्रतार्यमाणस्तु स तैरल्पबुद्धिभिरण्डजः ।
तद्वचः सत्यमित्येव मौर्ख्याद्दर्पाच्च मन्यते ॥१६॥
16. pratāryamāṇastu sa tairalpabuddhibhiraṇḍajaḥ ,
tadvacaḥ satyamityeva maurkhyāddarpācca manyate.
16. pratāryamāṇaḥ tu saḥ taiḥ alpabuddhibhiḥ aṇḍajaḥ tat
vacaḥ satyam iti eva maurkkhyāt darpāt ca manyate
16. tu saḥ aṇḍajaḥ taiḥ alpabuddhibhiḥ pratāryamāṇaḥ
maurkkhyāt darpāt ca tat vacaḥ satyam iti eva manyate
16. But he, the crow (aṇḍaja), being deceived by those foolish boys, believes their words to be true, solely out of foolishness and pride.
