महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-28, verse-13

स चोच्छिष्टभृतः काको वैश्यपुत्रैः कुमारकैः ।
सदृशान्पक्षिणो दृप्तः श्रेयसश्चावमन्यते ॥१३॥
13. sa cocchiṣṭabhṛtaḥ kāko vaiśyaputraiḥ kumārakaiḥ ,
sadṛśānpakṣiṇo dṛptaḥ śreyasaścāvamanyate.
13. saḥ ca ucchiṣṭabhṛtaḥ kākaḥ vaiśyaputraiḥ kumārakaiḥ
sadṛśān pakṣiṇaḥ dṛptaḥ śreyasaḥ ca avamanyate
13. saḥ ucchiṣṭabhṛtaḥ dṛptaḥ kākaḥ ca vaiśyaputraiḥ
kumārakaiḥ sadṛśān pakṣiṇaḥ ca śreyasaḥ avamanyate
13. And that crow, nourished by the leftovers from the young Vaiśya sons, grew proud and disdained both his peers and even superior birds.
