महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-14, verse-12

द्विपाः संभिन्नमर्माणो वज्राशनिसमैः शरैः ।
पेतुर्गिर्यग्रवेश्मानि वज्रवाताग्निभिर्यथा ॥१२॥
12. dvipāḥ saṁbhinnamarmāṇo vajrāśanisamaiḥ śaraiḥ ,
peturgiryagraveśmāni vajravātāgnibhiryathā.

petuḥ giri agra veśmāni vajra vāta agnibhiḥ yathā

12. Elephants, whose vital parts were shattered by arrows resembling thunderbolts and lightning, fell just as palaces situated on mountain peaks are struck down by thunderbolts, wind, and fire.
