महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-88, verse-35

हस्त्यश्वरथसंबाधं यच्चानीकं विलोक्यते ।
नानादेशसमुत्थैश्च पदातिभिरधिष्ठितम् ॥३५॥
35. hastyaśvarathasaṁbādhaṁ yaccānīkaṁ vilokyate ,
nānādeśasamutthaiśca padātibhiradhiṣṭhitam.
35. hastyaśvarathasaṃbādham yat ca anīkam vilokyate
nānādeśasamutthāiḥ ca padātibhiḥ adhiṣṭhitam
35. ca yat hastyaśvarathasaṃbādham anīkam vilokyate,
ca nānādeśasamutthāiḥ padātibhiḥ adhiṣṭhitam
35. And that army (anīka) which is seen, crowded with elephants, horses, and chariots, and commanded by foot-soldiers who have come from various regions.
