महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-166, verse-44

तं स्वयं प्रतिगृह्याथ भगवान्स वरं ददौ ।
वव्रे पिता मे परममस्त्रं नारायणं ततः ॥४४॥
44. taṁ svayaṁ pratigṛhyātha bhagavānsa varaṁ dadau ,
vavre pitā me paramamastraṁ nārāyaṇaṁ tataḥ.
44. tam svayam pratigṛhya atha bhagavān saḥ varam
dadau vavre pitā me paramam astram nārāyaṇam tataḥ
44. atha saḥ bhagavān svayam tam pratigṛhya varam dadau.
tataḥ me pitā paramam nārāyaṇam astram vavre.
44. Then the divine Lord (bhagavān) Himself, having accepted that (offering), granted a boon. Thereupon, my father requested the supreme Nārāyaṇa-weapon.
