महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-18, verse-8

सोऽहमीशानमनघमस्तौषं शरणं गतः ।
मुक्तश्चास्म्यवशः पापात्ततो दुःखविनाशनः ।
आह मां त्रिपुरघ्नो वै यशस्तेऽग्र्यं भविष्यति ॥८॥
8. so'hamīśānamanaghamastauṣaṁ śaraṇaṁ gataḥ ,
muktaścāsmyavaśaḥ pāpāttato duḥkhavināśanaḥ ,
āha māṁ tripuraghno vai yaśaste'gryaṁ bhaviṣyati.
8. saḥ aham īśānam anagham astauṣam śaraṇam
gataḥ muktaḥ ca asmi avaśaḥ pāpāt
tataḥ duḥkhavināśanaḥ āha mām tripuraghnaḥ
vai yaśaḥ te agryam bhaviṣyati
8. saḥ aham īśānam anagham astauṣam śaraṇam
gataḥ ca asmi muktaḥ avaśaḥ pāpāt
tataḥ duḥkhavināśanaḥ tripuraghnaḥ
vai āha mām te yaśaḥ agryam bhaviṣyati
8. I, having sought refuge in the faultless Īśāna (Śiva), praised him. And I, having been helpless due to sin, am freed from it; from that (liberation), I became a dispeller of sorrow. Then, Tripuraghna (Śiva) indeed said to me, "Your fame will be excellent."
