Asita and Devala indeed said to the king, the son of Pāṇḍu: 'O son of Kuntī (kaunteya), due to the curse of Indra (śakra), my accumulated merit (dharma) was destroyed. Therefore, Bhava (Śiva) has granted me my merit (dharma), excellent fame, and also life.'
