महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-18, verse-17

रथन्तरं द्विजश्रेष्ठ न सम्यगिति वर्तते ।
समीक्षस्व पुनर्बुद्ध्या हर्षं त्यक्त्वा द्विजोत्तम ।
अयज्ञवाहिनं पापमकार्षीस्त्वं सुदुर्मते ॥१७॥
17. rathantaraṁ dvijaśreṣṭha na samyagiti vartate ,
samīkṣasva punarbuddhyā harṣaṁ tyaktvā dvijottama ,
ayajñavāhinaṁ pāpamakārṣīstvaṁ sudurmate.

17. O best among Brahmins (dvijottama), this Rathantara (Sāman) chant is not being performed correctly. Examine it again with your intelligence, abandoning your excitement. O very evil-minded one, you have committed a sin that disqualifies the Vedic ritual (yajña).
