The wise (budhāḥ) indeed know the essence (sāram) to be exactly that (pure awareness), not through any other form (tanu). Pure awareness (jñapti) is the existence of Brahman (brahmasattā), while ignorance (avidyā) arises from the consciousness (cetanāt) of 'I am'.
