योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-159, verse-42

विधयः प्रतिषेधाश्च यदेकत्र स्थितिं गताः ।
ईदृशी ब्रह्मसत्तैषा यदेवात्मानमात्मना ॥ ४२ ॥
vidhayaḥ pratiṣedhāśca yadekatra sthitiṃ gatāḥ ,
īdṛśī brahmasattaiṣā yadevātmānamātmanā 42
42. vidhayaḥ pratiṣedhāḥ ca yadā ekatra sthitim gatāḥ
īdṛśī brahmasattā eṣā yat eva ātmānam ātmanā
42. yadā vidhayaḥ ca pratiṣedhāḥ ekatra sthitim gatāḥ
eṣā īdṛśī brahmasattā yat eva ātmānam ātmanā
42. When both injunctions and prohibitions attain a single state of being, such is this very reality of Brahman (brahman), which manifests the self (ātman) by the self (ātman) alone.
