अवस्त्विदमिति स्फारे रूढे मनसि निश्चये ।
हेमन्त इव मञ्जर्यः क्षीयन्ते भोगवासनाः ॥ ४७ ॥

47. When the firm conviction, 'this is unreal,' becomes deeply rooted and pervasive in the mind (manas), desires for enjoyment (bhogavāsanāḥ) diminish, just like flower-buds wither in winter.
