अगस्तिरुवाच ।
इत्युक्त्वा तात विप्रोऽसौ कारुण्यो मौनमागतः ।
तथाविधं सुतं दृष्ट्वा पुनः प्राह गुरुः सुतम् ॥ १७ ॥

Agastya said: "Having thus spoken, dear child, that compassionate Brahmin fell silent. Seeing his son in such a state, the guru again spoke to the son."
