योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-1, verse-65

भृगुणैवं कुमारेण शापितो देवशर्मणा ।
वृन्दया शापितो विष्णुस्तेन मानुष्यतां गतः ॥ ६५ ॥
bhṛguṇaivaṃ kumāreṇa śāpito devaśarmaṇā ,
vṛndayā śāpito viṣṇustena mānuṣyatāṃ gataḥ 65
65. bhṛguṇā evam kumāreṇa śāpitaḥ devaśarmaṇā
vṛndayā śāpitaḥ viṣṇuḥ tena mānuṣyatām gataḥ
65. Thus, Vishnu was cursed by Bhrigu, by Kumara, and by Devasharman. He was also cursed by Vrinda, and because of these curses, he attained a human form.
