वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-46, verse-49

अस्त्रेण हनुमान्मुक्तो नात्मानमवबुध्यते ।
कृष्यमाणस्तु रक्षोभिस्तैश्च बन्धैर्निपीडितः ॥४९॥
49. astreṇa hanumānmukto nātmānamavabudhyate ,
kṛṣyamāṇastu rakṣobhistaiśca bandhairnipīḍitaḥ.
49. अस्त्रेण हनुमान् मुक्तः न आत्मानं अवबुध्यते
कृष्यमाणः तु रक्षोभिः तैः च बन्धैः निपीडितः
49. हनुमान् अस्त्रेण मुक्तः आत्मानं न अवबुध्यते तु रक्षोभिः तैः बन्धैः च कृष्यमाणः निपीडितः ।
49. Hanuman, though released from the effect of the weapon (astra), did not realize his own freedom (ātman). Instead, he was being dragged by the Rākṣasas and oppressed by those very bindings (ropes).
