विमुक्तमस्त्रेण जगाम चिन्तामन्येन बद्धो ह्यनुवर्तते ऽस्त्रम् ॥४७॥

अथ वीरः इन्द्रजित् तं कपिसत्तमं तम् द्रुमचीरबन्धं अस्त्रेण विमुक्तं विचार्य चिन्तां जगाम हि अन्येन बद्धः अस्त्रं अनुवर्तते ।

Then, the valiant Indrajit, observing that the supreme monkey (Hanuman), though bound by the weapon (astra), had been further bound with tree bark and cloth, became anxious. (He thought,) 'Indeed, if one is bound by other means, the weapon (astra)'s power ceases to be effective.'
