वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-42, verse-38

ते नयन्ति परं तीरं सिद्धान्प्रत्यानयन्ति च ।
उत्तराः कुरवस्तत्र कृतपुण्यप्रतिश्रियाः ॥३८॥
38. te nayanti paraṃ tīraṃ siddhānpratyānayanti ca ,
uttarāḥ kuravastatra kṛtapuṇyapratiśriyāḥ.
38. te nayanti param tīram siddhān pratyānayanti
ca uttarāḥ kuravaḥ tatra kṛtapuṇyapratiśriyāḥ
38. te siddhān param tīram nayanti ca pratyānayanti

38. These (bamboos) transport the perfected beings (siddhas) to the opposite bank and bring them back again. There, in Uttara Kuru, reside those whose abodes are built upon their accumulated merits.
