वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-42, verse-32

वन्द्यास्ते तु तपःसिद्धास्तापसा वीतकल्मषाः ।
प्रष्टव्याश्चापि सीतायाः प्रवृत्तं विनयान्वितैः ॥३२॥
32. vandyāste tu tapaḥsiddhāstāpasā vītakalmaṣāḥ ,
praṣṭavyāścāpi sītāyāḥ pravṛttaṃ vinayānvitaiḥ.
32. vandyāḥ te tu tapaḥsiddhāḥ tāpasāḥ vītakalmaṣāḥ
praṣṭavyāḥ ca api sītāyāḥ pravṛttam vinayānvitaiḥ
32. Those ascetics, perfected by their asceticism (tapas) and free from impurities, are certainly to be honored. They should also be respectfully questioned about Sītā's condition by those endowed with humility.
