मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-31, verse-56

तद्वन्मातामहानाञ्च दत्त्वा पिण्डान् यथाविधि ।
गन्धमाल्यादिसंयुक्तं दद्यादाचमनं ततः ॥५६॥
56. tadvanmātāmahānāñca dattvā piṇḍān yathāvidhi .
gandhamālyādisaṃyuktaṃ dadyādācamanaṃ tataḥ.
56. tadvat mātāmahānām ca dattvā piṇḍān yathāvidhi
gandhamālyādisaṃyuktam dadyāt ācamanam tataḥ
56. Similarly, having offered the sacrificial cakes (piṇḍa) to the maternal grandfathers according to the prescribed rites, one should then offer the ritual sipping water (ācamana), along with perfumes, garlands, and so on.
