मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-31, verse-17

एवमाप्यायनं वत्स बहूनामिह बान्धवैः ।
श्राद्धं कुर्वदिभरन्नाम्बुबिन्दुक्षेपेण जायते ॥१७॥
17. evamāpyāyanaṃ vatsa bahūnāmiha bāndhavaiḥ .
śrāddhaṃ kurvadibharannāmbubindukṣepeṇa jāyate.
17. evam āpyāyanam vatsa bahūnām iha bāndhavaiḥ
śrāddham kurvat ibharannāmbu-bindu-kṣepeṇa jāyate
17. O child, in this manner, the satisfaction of many relatives in this world is achieved by performing the śrāddha ritual through the sprinkling of abundant water drops.
