तेषामन्यश्चतुर्थो यः पुत्रलेपभुजान्नभुक् ।
सोऽपि सम्बन्धतो हीनमुपभोगं प्रपद्यते ॥२॥

The fourth ancestor among them (in the ascending line from the sacrificer), who partakes of the food (anna) of those who consume the remnants (lepa) from the son's (performer's) offerings, likewise obtains a diminished portion (upabhoga) due to this attenuated connection.
