एतस्मिन्नेव काले तु माधवोऽर्जुनमब्रवीत् ।
पश्य पार्थ यथा द्रौणिः पार्षतस्य वधं प्रति ।
यत्नं करोति विपुलं हन्याच्चैनमसंशयम् ॥४०॥

Indeed, at that very moment, Mādhava (Krishna) addressed Arjuna: 'O Pārtha, observe how Droṇa's son (Aśvatthāmā) is exerting a tremendous effort towards the slaying of Pārṣata (Dhṛṣṭadyumna); he will undoubtedly kill him.'
