महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-42, verse-15

विव्याध चैनं समरे नाराचैस्तत्र सप्तभिः ।
तं प्रत्यविध्यच्छैनेयः शरैर्हेमविभूषितैः ॥१५॥
15. vivyādha cainaṁ samare nārācaistatra saptabhiḥ ,
taṁ pratyavidhyacchaineyaḥ śarairhemavibhūṣitaiḥ.

tam prati avidhyat śaineyaḥ śaraiḥ hemavibhūṣitaiḥ
15. ca tatra samare enam saptabhiḥ nārācaiḥ vivyādha
śaineyaḥ tam hemavibhūṣitaiḥ śaraiḥ prati avidhyat
15. And there, in that battle, (Karṇa) pierced him (Saatyaki) with seven iron arrows. Then, Śaineya counter-pierced him (Karṇa) with gold-adorned arrows.
