महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-42, verse-16

ततो युद्धमतीवासीच्चक्षुःश्रोत्रभयावहम् ।
राजन्घोरं च चित्रं च प्रेक्षणीयं समन्ततः ॥१६॥
16. tato yuddhamatīvāsīccakṣuḥśrotrabhayāvaham ,
rājanghoraṁ ca citraṁ ca prekṣaṇīyaṁ samantataḥ.

rājan ghoram ca citram ca prekṣaṇīyam samantataḥ

16. Then, O King, the battle became exceedingly terrifying to the eyes and ears; it was dreadful, yet wonderful and spectacular to behold from all sides.
