महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-98, verse-58

विजित्य पाण्डुपाञ्चालान्भारद्वाजः प्रतापवान् ।
स्वं व्यूहं पुनरास्थाय स्थिरोऽभवदरिंदमः ।
न चैनं पाण्डवा युद्धे जेतुमुत्सहिरे प्रभो ॥५८॥
58. vijitya pāṇḍupāñcālānbhāradvājaḥ pratāpavān ,
svaṁ vyūhaṁ punarāsthāya sthiro'bhavadariṁdamaḥ ,
na cainaṁ pāṇḍavā yuddhe jetumutsahire prabho.

58. Having conquered the Pāṇḍavas and Pañcālas, the powerful Bhāradvāja (Droṇa), the subduer of enemies, re-established his own battle formation and stood steady. And, O Lord, the Pāṇḍavas were unable to defeat him in battle.
