महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-35, verse-60

धनेनाधर्मलब्धेन यच्छिद्रमपिधीयते ।
असंवृतं तद्भवति ततोऽन्यदवदीर्यते ॥६०॥
60. dhanenādharmalabdhena yacchidramapidhīyate ,
asaṁvṛtaṁ tadbhavati tato'nyadavadīryate.
60. dhanena adharmalabdhena yat chidram apidhīyate
asaṃvṛtam tat bhavati tataḥ anyat avadīryate
60. Even if a flaw is concealed by wealth acquired through unrighteousness (adharma), that [flaw] becomes exposed, and consequently, something else is torn apart or breaks forth.
