विदुर उवाच ।
सर्वतीर्थेषु वा स्नानं सर्वभूतेषु चार्जवम् ।
उभे एते समे स्यातामार्जवं वा विशिष्यते ॥२॥

2. vidura uvāca ,
sarvatīrtheṣu vā snānaṁ sarvabhūteṣu cārjavam ,
ubhe ete same syātāmārjavaṁ vā viśiṣyate.

Vidura said: "Bathing in all holy places and sincerity towards all beings — both of these might be considered equal. Yet, sincerity (ārjava) is superior."
