महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-35, verse-36

मत्तापानं कलहं पूगवैरं भार्यापत्योरन्तरं ज्ञातिभेदम् ।
राजद्विष्टं स्त्रीपुमांसोर्विवादं वर्ज्यान्याहुर्यश्च पन्थाः प्रदुष्टः ॥३६॥
36. mattāpānaṁ kalahaṁ pūgavairaṁ; bhāryāpatyorantaraṁ jñātibhedam ,
rājadviṣṭaṁ strīpumāṁsorvivādaṁ; varjyānyāhuryaśca panthāḥ praduṣṭaḥ.
36. matta-pānam kalaham pūga-vairam
bhāryā-patyoḥ antaram jñāti-bhedam |
rāja-dviṣṭam strī-pumāṃsoḥ vivādam
varjyāni āhuḥ yaḥ ca panthāḥ pra-duṣṭaḥ
36. They declare the following as things to be avoided: drinking by intoxicated persons, quarrels, hostility within a community, discord between husband and wife, division among relatives, actions disliked by the king, disputes between men and women, and any path that is corrupt or defiled.
