महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-22, verse-23

व्यादितास्यैर्महानादैः सह भूतैर्ध्वजालयैः ।
तस्थौ रथवरे तस्मिन्गरुत्मान्पन्नगाशनः ॥२३॥

23. Garuḍa, the devourer of serpents (pannagāśana), stood on that excellent chariot. He was accompanied by attendants (bhūta) with gaping mouths and mighty roars, and by the inhabitants of his standard.
