महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-22, verse-16

शक्रविष्णू हि संग्रामे चेरतुस्तारकामये ।
रथेन तेन तं कृष्ण उपारुह्य ययौ तदा ॥१६॥
16. śakraviṣṇū hi saṁgrāme ceratustārakāmaye ,
rathena tena taṁ kṛṣṇa upāruhya yayau tadā.

16. Indeed, Indra and Vishnu (śakra-viṣṇū) fought in the Tārakā-maya war. Then, Krishna (kṛṣṇa), ascending with Arjuna in that very chariot, went forth.
