महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-171, verse-25

काम जानामि ते मूलं संकल्पात्किल जायसे ।
न त्वां संकल्पयिष्यामि समूलो न भविष्यसि ॥२५॥

25. kāma jānāmi te mūlaṁ saṁkalpātkila jāyase ,
na tvāṁ saṁkalpayiṣyāmi samūlo na bhaviṣyasi.

25. O desire (kāma), I know your origin; indeed, you are born from intention or resolve (saṃkalpa). I will not entertain any intention (saṃkalpa) towards you, and thus you will cease to exist, rootless.
