योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-71, verse-31

यथा तेजस्तिमिरयोर्न संबन्धो न तुल्यता ।
अत्यन्तभिन्नयो राम तथैवात्मशरीरयोः ॥ ३१ ॥
yathā tejastimirayorna saṃbandho na tulyatā ,
atyantabhinnayo rāma tathaivātmaśarīrayoḥ 31
31. yathā tejas-timirayoḥ na sambandhaḥ na tulyatā
atyanta-bhinnayoḥ rāma tathā eva ātma-śarīrayoḥ
31. rāma yathā atyanta-bhinnayoḥ
tejas-timirayoḥ na sambandhaḥ na tulyatā
(asti) tathā eva ātma-śarīrayoḥ
(sambandhaḥ ca tulyatā na asti)
31. O Rama, just as there is no connection or equality between light and darkness, being utterly distinct, so too is it between the Self (ātman) and the body.
