योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-96, verse-19

यदा मिथ्याभिमानेन सत्तां कल्पयति स्वयम् ।
अहंकाराभिमानेन प्रोच्यते भवबन्धनी ॥ १९ ॥
yadā mithyābhimānena sattāṃ kalpayati svayam ,
ahaṃkārābhimānena procyate bhavabandhanī 19
19. yadā mithyābhimānena sattām kalpayati svayam
ahaṅkārābhimānena procyate bhavabandhanī
19. yadā svayam mithyābhimānena sattām kalpayati
ahaṅkārābhimānena bhavabandhanī procyate
19. When [consciousness] itself creates an existence (sattā) through false identification (mithyābhimāna), then, by the pride of ego (ahaṅkāra), it is called the binder of worldly existence (saṃsāra).
