तामपि प्रहितां शक्तिं रावणेन बलीयसा ।

40. Even that (śakti) weapon, hurled by the mighty Rāvaṇa, those foremost monkeys (hariśreṣṭhāḥ) were unable to stop, despite their efforts. They were also tormented by volleys of arrows from the swift-handed demon (rakṣas).
