वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-88, verse-10

तदस्त्रं तु हतं दृष्ट्वा रावणो राक्षसाधिपः ।
विव्याध दशभिर्बाणै रामं सर्वेषु मर्मसु ॥१०॥
10. tadastraṃ tu hataṃ dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇo rākṣasādhipaḥ ,
vivyādha daśabhirbāṇai rāmaṃ sarveṣu marmasu.
10. tat astram tu hatam dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇaḥ rākṣasādhipaḥ
vivyādha daśabhiḥ bāṇaiḥ rāmam sarveṣu marmasu
10. But Rāvaṇa, the lord of rākṣasas, having seen that weapon destroyed, pierced Rāma with ten arrows in all his vital spots.
