वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-88, verse-1

तस्मिन्प्रतिहते ऽस्त्रे तु रावणो राक्षसाधिपः ।
क्रोधं च द्विगुणं चक्रे क्रोधाच्चास्त्रमनन्तरम् ॥१॥
1. tasminpratihate'stre tu rāvaṇo rākṣasādhipaḥ ,
krodhaṃ ca dviguṇaṃ cakre krodhāccāstramanantaram.

krodham ca dviguṇam cakre krodhāt ca astram anantaram
1. But when that weapon was repelled, Rāvaṇa, the lord of the rākṣasas (demons), doubled his anger, and out of that fury, immediately chose another weapon.
