पापदृष्टे च सा नारी बन्ध्या भवति निश्चयात् ॥३९॥

If the ascendant (lagna) is in a sign ruled by Saturn or Mars, and the ascendant itself is conjoined with the Moon and Venus, and also aspected by malefic planets, then that woman will certainly be barren (bandhyā).
