शनावशुभसन्दृष्टे याति कन्यैव वृद्धताम् ॥१८॥

If the Sun (sūrya) is in the house of setting (astabha), the woman will be abandoned by her husband (patityaktā). If Mars (kuja) is similarly placed, she becomes a widow in childhood (bālye). If Saturn (śani) is aspected by malefics (aśubhasandṛṣṭe), the girl (kanyā) will reach old age as a virgin.
